Privacy Policy
Mow Coach uses only the information needed to provide visual lawn coaching, manage subscriptions, and keep the service reliable. Report history is stored on your device, not as a cloud history.
Information we collect
We process the lawn photos you choose to upload and, when you select a video, four still frames sampled on your device. The original video stays on your device and is not uploaded. We also briefly process the generated coaching report and score so they can be delivered to your device, along with basic usage and error information and a random account identifier. Mow Coach does not ask for an account email. Apple or Google and RevenueCat process purchase and subscription information; Mow Coach does not receive your full payment card details.
How we use information
We use this information to analyze the visible appearance of your lawn, deliver a report to your device, enforce usage allowances, provide customer support, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and manage subscription access.
AI processing and service providers
Uploaded photos and locally sampled video frames are processed by Google’s Gemini service to generate visual coaching. Each analysis is submitted without Gemini server-side Interaction storage; Mow Coach does not use Gemini conversation history or save the request and response as a retrievable Gemini Interaction. Google may still process or temporarily retain information as described in its applicable service terms, including for security and abuse prevention. We also use Supabase for authentication, database, private file storage, and server functions, and RevenueCat for subscription status. Apple and Google process app-store purchases under their own privacy policies. These providers process data on our behalf under their applicable terms.
Retention
After a report and its thumbnail are safely saved on your device, Mow Coach immediately requests deletion of the generated report, uploaded photos, sampled frames, and server thumbnail. A recurring fail-safe purges any delivered report payload left by an interrupted connection after 15 minutes. Interrupted upload files are scheduled for removal after 24 hours. Your report history remains only in this app on your device until you delete a report, delete app data, or uninstall the app. Non-content usage, billing, security, and operational records may be retained as required to enforce allowances, prevent abuse, support accounting, and meet legal obligations.
Sharing and sale
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose information only to the service providers described above, when you direct us to, or when required by law. We do not use your private lawn media for advertising.
Security
Media storage is private, access is restricted to your signed-in account, and provider credentials remain on protected server systems. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.
Your choices
You may delete individual reports inside the app. You may permanently delete your anonymous account data and the report history on your device in Settings, or follow the instructions on our account deletion page. You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
Children
Mow Coach is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
